Trilligan’s Island –Puerto Rico Blows Up Latin Hip Hop

Trilligan’s Island –Puerto Rico Blows Up Latin Hip Hop is a documentary showcasing the grassroots movement of Latin hip hop in Puerto Rico. We used this short documentary as inspiration for researching the urban arts movement in Philadelphia. It follows the story of hip hop artists trying to create a new culture in their society. By taking a look at their stories, it gives a personal touch rather than trying to understand the urban arts movement as a whole. Within our project, we followed the same template, in which we interviewed individuals who were influencing the movement.
